The ARR-VCS project is a small-scale grouped project initiative focused on afforesting low-value land in Latvia, specifically meadows that have remained untouched for over a decade. The “Not Hot Afforestation Project” aims to plant native trees, restoring degraded land and supporting local wildlife. With around 300,000 hectares of eligible non-forested agricultural land in Latvia, this project holds significant potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By afforesting these lands, the project will contribute to Latvia’s sustainable development through job creation, rural growth, increased production value, biodiversity conservation, and soil preservation.
Are you interested in earning carbon credits from afforestation?
1. Land Suitability Evaluation
Have a non-forested land in the territory of Latvia? Please contact us and we’ll conduct a suitability analysis and offer you a carbon opportunity assessment for your property.
2. Project Enrollment and Agreement
We’ll discuss your land assessment and the potential carbon revenue over a call. Once we agree on the terms, your land will be included in the project after signing a cooperation agreement.
3. Planting, Oversight, and Monitoring
Our team will handle the project management, ensuring continuous support through regular monitoring.
4. Carbon Credits and Payment
Your first payment from carbon credits will arrive five years after planting, with additional payments following every few years. During this time, we will continue to manage your forest, and we’ll work on connecting with credit buyers.
5. You don’t own any additional land, but are interested in buying CO2 credits for your company?
Find out the amount of CO2 emissions that your company generates each year using our calculator and get in touch with us so we can help you cover them by creating a sustainability strategy and, of course – planting trees.
